If you work in close proximity to a vending machine, then you are privy to the number of times that it has to perform its job in the course of an average day. Add to that the abuse that it often has to take from customers, and it quickly becomes apparent that it’s a very efficient machine that seems to keep on spitting out treats no matter how often it’s asked, or the amount of abuse that it’s forced to endure. Just think how quickly your car would kick the bucket if it was forced to be started several hundred times per day, and then kicked and punched by everyone who turned the key. That might just give you some insight into how reliable a vending motor has to be in order to keep the treats coming.
That’s good news for those who have decided to enter the world of vending by purchasing their own machine. Problems with vending machine motors can mean lost income, as well as regular customers looking somewhere else for their daily dose of candy and soda snacks. There are other things that can go wrong with the machine, but having the motor fail to function is probably the worst case scenario for those whose income depends upon their machines operating without any major hiccups.
When we go to buy something from a vending machine, our biggest hope is that the items we are buying doesn’t get stuck between the dispenser and the glass, but for the owner of a machine, that’s the least of their worries. The newer machines have a lot of moving parts, and buying a soda seems to be a lot more high-tech than it used to be. Now we can see that mechanical bucket climb the levels to the soda of our choice, before lowering and gently placing our aerated drink into the delivery chute, all so that it will not explode in pour face when we open it. Soda motors are now much more advanced than they used to be, which makes the customer happier, as they also seem to be far more efficient than before.
Those improvements seems to have spread to all types of vending machines, and it’s now very uncommon to see an out of order sign attached to a machine, which was a sight that was all too familiar not so very long ago. Even the snack motors seem to have undergone an overhaul, which can be witnessed by the amazingly calm demeanor of the people using those machines every day. It’s not often that you see people attacking the machines in a fit of rage simply because one tiny little error led to their chocolate fix not making it to the delivery bin. It’s a good thing that those motors have become more reliable, because the vending machine industry continues to grow at an incredibly high rate. If the motors are great, then everyone from the machine owner to the customer wins, as we all get what we want out of those fantastic machines.
